How Sustainable are Biodegradable Caddy Liners?
These certified compostable bags are certified to the European standard for compostable packaging, and even carry the compostable seedling logo for approved use with council food waste recycling schemes.
The materials used in the production of these biodegradable caddy liners are easily compostable and biodegradable when exposed to water, CO2, and residual organic carbon - or compost. They leave no residue which is harmful to the environment behind, ensuring they do not cause contamination to the environment.
Although these biodegradable caddy liners will not degrade in storage, they should be stored in a cool and dry environment. This will maintain the mechanical properties of the product and not weaken its structural integrity.
Biodegradation will only be initiated in a compost environment in the presence of microorganisms, humidity and warmth.
