Steel strapping is the strongest strapping material you can use. It is best used when high tensile strength and low elongation are required from your strapping, and this simply cannot be achieved with standard plastic strapping alone.
Primarily used within the transport, shipping, and heavy industries for banding steel, concrete, and other extremely heavy materials together.
Although polypropylene and polyester strapping are modern alternatives to steel strapping, steel banding is still the very best option for heavy-duty applications, especially where loads may have sharp edges which could pierce polypropylene strapping or high temperatures could cause it to melt.

What is Ribbon-Wound Steel Strapping?
Ribbon-wound steel strapping consists of each layer of strapping being wound directly over the one below - making the coil width the same as the strap width. This is commonly used for wider straps, such as steel strapping, to account for the increased coil weight.
Steel strapping is the oldest and strongest form of strapping which offers the best tensile strength for a diverse range of high-tension needs.
